On the recommendation of it’s Music Board, the ACPBA would like to advise all member bands that we will be adopting the newly created Massed band Drum Cadences that have been endorsed by such influential North American pipe band drummers as Reid Maxwell, Doug Stronach and Jim Sim.

Doing this will align us with the rest of the Pipe Band Associations in North America when it comes to massed Band Performances at Highland games.

We strongly encourage that the lead drummers and/or drumming instructors of all member bands teach these cadences to new and existing drummers as soon as possible as they will be used at every massed band performance at Highland games in the future.”[link]
